Summer vacations are over, but…

How to make children and adolescents become involved in school?

Summer vacations are over, but we do not forget about all those nice moments we lived and enjoyed. During these months, we went to the park, eat many ice creams and went to the children’s ride thousands of times. We did different activities, like going to the museum where we could learn and have a wonderful time discovering new things.

Also, we participated of the summer camp at Club CASA and the one at the Day Center, in Jabad’s country house. We did make the most of it; the summer camp and the Day Center’s swimming pool, which we visited not only on weekdays but also during weekends. There, we could interact with other kids through games and swimming pool dips.

With much joy, we wish good trips for one of the girls who travelled to Israel and two brothers that visited New York with their family that lives there.

We also did carpentry workshops and built desks and furniture for our bedrooms. We learned to cook with Gluska’s workshops and added more arts, painting and handcrafts with Clarita’s workshops, where we shared delicious afternoon meals and gifts that she brought for us.

Almost reaching the end of the summer, the party of Purim came with all its usual joy. We prepared the costumes, cooked Oznei Haman (Haman’s ears), made mishloaj manot bags and distributed them. We also celebrated together a fun party in one of the Homes, with the kids and coordinators wearing costumes, sharing a tasty barbecue prepared by Dani Borek, with music and a magic show.

Now, we are resuming the school routine, went back to study, left our bedrooms in order and prepared our school supplies. But we are already thinking on how much we are going to enjoy and learn next summer.

Thanks to all those who made this Summer in action possible!
